Carsten Prueser. Grew up in Lower Saxony, Germany. Took his first steps in photography at Heinrich Heidersberger’s studio in the industrial town of Wolfsburg. Graduated from high school amid the vast cornfields of Hooper, Nebraska. Received the Abitur and the Salem Award at the Cistercian monastery of Schule Schloss Salem on Lake Constance. Earned a law degree from the University of Konstanz overlooking the Alps, and studied media at The New School for Social Research in downtown Manhattan. Started a family in Frankfurt am Main. Works at the intersection of the visual arts, Critical Theory, journalism, and activism. In his spare time, he manages IT in a large financial institution.
